Goldendoodles

We specialize in F1B Goldendoodles but we also do litters of the 50/50 (F1) cross! They come in many colors like red, apricot, cream, black and merle in solids and partis (spotted).

Goldendoodles are a planned cross between a Golden Retriever and a Standard Poodle. The reasons for this are many, but the main ones are to create a dog that has little to no shedding (not a quality of the Golden Retriever!), to decrease the allergic response for someone with dog allergies, and to reduce the health issues that are commonly inherent in each of the parent breeds.

  • Everyone loves the Golden Retriever because they make great family dogs, with their amazing personalities and good behaviors. They do however, shed massively, and are difficult for anyone with allergies.

  • The Standard Poodle is, in my opinion, the best kept secret in Dogdom. They are the dog of choice for mixing with other desirable breeds due to their great intelligence. The standard size poodles are happy, friendly, very good with children, strangers, and other dogs, and have a disposition that is delightful even into their old age.

  • These qualities make them a wonderful choice for a mix with the Retriever. The combination of the Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle produces a dog that is smart, has a great chance of not shedding, and is more hypoallergenic than the Retriever, yet is able to maintain the great disposition and some of the look.

F1b cross is a 25/75 pairing of breeds with 25% being the shedding side of the parent breed and 75% poodle. This pretty much ensures that you will have a non shedding dog with the ultimate in allergy tolerance short of a full blooded poodle. It retains the good qualities of both breeds.

F1 cross is the 50/50 mix of poodle and golden retriever. They have a looser curl, for the most part, and more of the retriever making their intelligence more intuitive but still with plenty of the poodle smarts! They make great companions for families with no to moderate allergies. Some will shed lightly and others not at all.

We do not breed multi-generational as we feel it gets so murky that you don’t even really know what you have!
