Our Breeds
Goldendoodles
This is where it all started.
McKenzie’s Doodles has been breeding Goldendoodles for over 20 years, making them our longest-standing and most beloved breed. Known for their intelligence, friendliness, and easygoing nature, Goldendoodles are loyal, child-friendly companions. Their adaptable temperament, trainability, and loving personality make them especially well-suited for first-time dog owners.
F1 Goldendoodles are 50% Golden Retriever and 50% Poodle, typically larger dogs weighing 45 to 70 pounds with a soft, wavy coat. They combine the playful, adventurous spirit of the Golden Retriever with the cleverness of the Poodle. Most of our F1s have stunning red coats. They may shed lightly, so are best suited for households with no to mild allergy concerns.
F1B Goldendoodles are 25% Golden Retriever and 75% Poodle and usually weigh 30 to 60 pounds depending on the parents. They have a curlier, low-to-non-shedding coat with the classic “teddybear” look, making them the ideal choice for families with allergy concerns. F1Bs retain all the friendly, intelligent, and playful traits of Goldendoodles and are even easier to train. They come in red, cream, black, merle, and parti colors.
Goldendoodles are versatile, loving, and adaptable, making them a perfect addition to nearly any home. Whether you are seeking a lively companion for adventures or a gentle, devoted family pet, they thrive in families of all kinds.

The Golden Standard
Golden Retrievers are the foundation of our Goldendoodle program, providing the intelligence, loyalty, and gentle temperament that make Goldendoodles so beloved. At McKenzie’s Doodles, we focus on rare, intense red Golden Retrievers, which are the hallmark of our vibrant red Goldendoodles. Golden Retrievers are exceptionally gentle and affectionate, wonderful with children of all ages, even the littlest family members, and they pass their playful, trainable, and loving nature on to our Goldendoodle puppies. The result is dogs that are not only stunning in appearance but also devoted, clever, and family-ready companions.

Irish Doodles
In a strenuous effort to achieve a vibrant red in our Doodle pups, meet the Irish Doodle! These puppies combine the spirited nature of the Irish Setter with the clever, homebody traits of the Poodle, resulting in social, loyal, and affectionate companions. They are leaner, leggier dogs with a graceful gait, making them perfect for devoted running partners, therapy work, or as family pets, even with the youngest members of the household.
F1 Irish Doodles are 50% Irish Setter and 50% Poodle, typically weighing 45 to 65 pounds with a winsome, wavy red coat. They are typically very low-shedding, even in the F1 cross, as the Irish Setter is naturally a low-shed breed. These puppies maintain the playful, affectionate, and intelligent traits of both parent breeds, making them ideal family companions.
For families seeking a medium-sized or more allergy-conscious option, we offer F1B Irish Doodles. F1Bs are 25% Irish Setter and 75% Poodle, usually weighing 40 to 50 pounds, with a curlier “teddybear” coat that provides higher allergy tolerance. They maintain the intense red coloring of the Irish Setter and often have charming red coats with white splashes, while retaining the same loving, intelligent, and playful traits that make Irish Doodles so cherished.

Sheepadoodles
The Sheepadoodle is a cross between the magnificent Old English Sheepdog (OES) and the intelligent, non-shedding, hypoallergenic Poodle. These dogs are known for their soft, wavy coats and striking tuxedo, black and white, silver and white, sable, brindle, and phantom patterns, with some darker coats fading to silver like classic OES. Sheepadoodles are highly intelligent, loyal, and protective, forming strong bonds with their families, who truly become their herd. Their moderate energy and adaptable nature make them excellent companions for a variety of lifestyles, and they are wonderful with children of all ages.
F1 Sheepadoodles are 50% Old English Sheepdog and 50% Poodle, typically larger dogs weighing 60 to 90 pounds with soft, wavy coats. They inherit the intelligence of both parent breeds, so a firm but gentle hand in training is essential. F1s are affectionate, devoted, and playful while also being very family-oriented, protective, and loyal.
For families seeking a more medium-sized or allergy-conscious option, we offer F1B Sheepadoodles. F1Bs are 25% Old English Sheepdog and 75% Poodle, usually weighing 40 to 55 pounds, with coats that range from soft, loose waves to tighter “teddybear” curls. They provide higher allergy tolerance and are even easier to train, while retaining the same loving, intelligent, and protective traits, making them ideal family-focused companions.

Old English Sheepdog (OES)
We just love this breed! Old English Sheepdogs are comical, loyal, highly intelligent, and quick learners. They are wonderful with children and adults alike, making them exceptional family companions. As a herding breed, they take their “job” seriously, which can make them more cautious around strangers who might seem like a threat to their herd. Their clown-like personality is charming and entertaining, winning over everyone in the family.
OES thrive when given plenty of mental and physical stimulation along with proper training. Because the breed was historically overbred, we carefully chose our Huck from classic, exceptional lines to preserve the intelligence, temperament, and playful spirit that make the original Old English Sheepdog so special.
Bernedoodles
There is nothing quite like a Bernedoodle! This exceptional mix combines the loyal, affectionate temperament of the Bernese Mountain Dog with the intelligence and low-shedding coat of the Poodle. McKenzie’s Doodles has been breeding F1 Bernedoodles since 2015 and they remain very popular with families seeking a larger dog. F1 Bernedoodles are 50% Bernese Mountain Dog and 50% Poodle and will typically be 60-100 pounds with a soft, wavy coat. Puppies start with plenty of enthusiasm, gradually settling into a calmer maturity around two years of age. Because of the heavier Bernese influence, F1s can be independent-minded, so consistent training and a confident owner who can maintain their position of authority are essential. They were bred to problem-solve, so firm but gentle guidance helps them grow into obedient and loving companions. Shedding varies from very little to light, always less than a purebred Bernese.
We also breed F1B Bernedoodles for families wanting a more medium-sized option with higher allergy tolerance. F1Bs are 25% Bernese Mountain Dog and 75% Poodle, usually weighing 35-65 pounds depending on the parents. They carry all the wonderful Bernedoodle traits, such as loyalty, affection, and playfulness, but with a typically curlier coat that is more low to non-shedding, giving higher allergy tolerance. They are also often easier to train while keeping the fun-loving, devoted nature families love.
The Bernese Mountain Dog became very popular in Switzerland before the Industrial Revolution as a ‘hauling’ dog. They were thus bred for very large and muscular builds that could haul large, heavy loads by cart. They also make great watchdogs, being initially wary of strangers but warming up quickly. However, their favorite thing is to be with their families entertaining them with their antics (they remain puppyish well into adulthood) and just being loved and included in the ‘pack’.

MckNuggets
(Mini-Doodles)
For years we have been asked to breed the smaller size doodle for families who just can’t handle a large breed dog. This would require a toy or miniature poodle. We have been unwilling to do this due to the unpredictability of the dispositions of those breeds since we breed with families with small children in mind. After years of researching small breeds that were also good with children, the MckNugget (Mini-Doodle) was born!
The MckNugget (Mini-Doodle) is a cross of two AKC, health tested parents one of which is a small standard or moyen poodle which ensure the temperament is not compromised. The father is a secret family ingredient which may remain a MckMystery.
The MckNugget (Mini-Doodle) is the ultimate hypoallergenic and non-shedding cross of all of our breeds since both sides possess these traits. They are charming, happy and intelligent rays of sunshine and have a true enthusiasm for life and people. They love EVERYONE both two legged and four legged and have never met a stranger. They are especially good with young children which is what we were looking for in a small breed cross. We are in love!
As adults they are expected to be between 15-25 lbs on average and depending upon the mother used. They come in a rainbow of colors including, but not limited to, sable, phantom, parti and solids of all colors.
A hypoallergenic and non-shedding, incredibly smart, affectionate mix of awesome; and will live a life with a passion for delighting those around them! Full size average is 15-25lbs.
